Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Update MAKID?

MAKID checks for updates on boot and every two hours. You can also press the Check for Update button in Settings. Once the update is downloaded MAKID will notify you to restart your app to install the update.

Are My Audio Files Private and Stored Locally?

Yes, MAKID is essentially a layer over your file system. Your audio files (.als, MP3s, bounces, etc.) are stored only on your computer and are not uploaded anywhere. The only time any audio leaves your computer is when you explicitly choose to share a bounce, and even then the shared file is private and not publicly accessible.

How Can I Delete All My MAKID Data?

⚠️

You can not undo this. Make a copy of your .db file before.

You can delete your MAKID data by going to Settings and pressing Show Database File, deleting the MAKID.db file, and restarting the application.

Why Are No Projects Loading Into MAKID?
